Barcelona Reportedly Interested In Signing Atletico Madrid Forward After Midweek Scouting Mission

Pinned onto EntertainmentDavid Ramos / Getty ImagesBarcelona are reportedly interested in signing Yannick Carrasco from La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid, 90min reports. Spanish news publication Sport claimed that the reigning champions are monitoring the progress of the Belgium international, with sporting director Robert Fernandez present at the Vicente Calderon stadium to watch Carrasco fire Atletico to a 1-0 Champions League victory over Bayern Munich on Wednesday. Atletico would do everything in their power to prevent Carrasco from leaving for one of their main rivals in Spain. However, they would not be able to stand in the striker’s way if Barcelona meet a rumoured £34.5m release clause fee in Carrasco’s current contract. It remains to be seen, though, if Carrasco would fancy a move to the Camp Nou, particularly with the competition for a place in attack for the Catalan outfit.
